About Us

Hema Mask.(owitz) founded Mask. Design pre-pandemic, but during 2021 thoughts around it developed and then she officially took the plunge in March 2022. With a background in both interior design (N.Dip) and Illumination Engineering (Dip. Illum. Eng), she’s always ready to work on any creative or technical challenge.

Ever striving to learn more about the world we cultivate and how to take care of it, and the people in it. She enjoys gardening, origami, and films, and trying to keep herbs alive during Cape Town summers. 

Lives with a husband, one cat and two dogs.
